Passing Trains is a Cape Town based film production company, focussing on television and cinema commercials for the South African and international markets.
Etienne de Villiers is the founding member of the company, with more than twenty years of writing, producing and directing experience. Philipa Bresler joined Passing Trains as a producer in September 2010, having previously worked with director Etienne de Villiers in a freelance capacity on a variety of both local and international television commercials. A pressure junkie with an Advertising background, Phil has spent time doing service production, stills and feature film production, and recently agency production for a number of Cape Town Advertising Agencies. She once ran a sideline business called Tarts, cooking up a storm for clients in their own homes, satisfying two loves simultaneously: enjoyment of excellent food, and obsessive organising.
The Passing Trains team strives to be dedicated and involved, adding value through their extensive experience and creative focus. Their members and collaborators are well known and respected as no-nonsense straight talkers – dependable creative partners to their local and international clients, creating work of exceptional quality and originality.
